Anne Clawson, Principal & Co-founder of Cascade Advisory, Head of Policy & Government Affairs Practice


Anne Clawson leads the policy practice at Cascade Advisory. ​A versatile and dynamic professional with a deep understanding of climate and natural resources policy, her experience spans corporate, trade association, and management consulting roles. With nearly two decades of experience, Anne has developed and executed comprehensive advocacy strategies to address a variety of manufacturing, climate, and natural resources policy issues. She played a pivotal role in achieving exemptions from tariffs and visa bans and secured millions in federal funding for prior organizations.


Anne is fluent in German and proficient in French. She holds a BA from the University of Chicago and an MA from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service



Fred T. Dombo III, Partner of Nossaman LLP, chair of Nossaman's Government Relations & Regulation Group


Fred Dombo serves as chair of Nossaman's Government Relations & Regulation Group. He combines experience as an aide to Members of the U.S. House of Representatives Committees on Appropriations and Energy & Commerce with 25 years of private practice to provide clients with cost effective advice on the legal and political implications of their government relations activities. 


Fred advises clients on local, state and federal pay to play, campaign and lobby laws, gift rules, ethics compliance and investigations. His practice includes counsel to nonprofit advocacy organizations with respect to their general operations, as well as their compliance requirements with Internal Revenue Service regulations and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. Fred also serves as a lobbyist for private and public sector clients on authorization and appropriations issues. He speaks widely on ethics and election law reform issues. 


Fred’s practice includes creation and implementation of strategic communication plans regarding the public policy aspects of clients’ advocacy campaigns or government/legal dilemmas. He has been active in many presidential nominating conventions and political campaigns and has supported candidates for state and national offices.


Fred serves on Nossaman’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee and chairs the Nossaman LLP Political Action Committee.

Melis Tusiray is a seasoned business strategy and operations director with experience in the private, nonprofit, government, and academic sectors. She has a strong track record of coordinating talented teams in organizations such as Epic Media, Vox Media, the American Friends of Bucerius/ZEIT-Stiftung, and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ). She has successfully built out operations infrastructure at multiple organizations, and led programs on critical issues like renewable energy, sustainability, and entrepreneurship in the United States, Germany, and East Africa. Melis is fluent in German and proficient in Turkish.


Melis serves as Secretary on the Robert Bosch Foundation Fellowship Alumni Board. She holds a BA from the University of California Los Angeles, and an MA from Georgetown University.
